Wihlborgs Fastigheter and Honda Nordic have signed a lease agreement which means that Wihlborgs will construct a new office building and training centre for Honda at Svågertorp. The agreement will run for fifteen years and covers an area of 4,600 m2. It is anticipated that occupation will take place during the Spring of 2010.
The building will house Honda’s Nordic head office and training centre and will be constructed in accordance with the client’s wishes. The location will be Urnes 3 which Wihlborgs is acquiring from the City of Malmö and will take possession on 15 December 2008. The total project investment is SEK 92 million which will generate a yield in the first year of 8.5 per cent.
At the same time, Wihlborgs will be acquiring the property Stocken 2 from Honda at a price of SEK 30 million and will take possession on 15 December 2008. The property houses 7,100 m2 of offices and warehouses which Honda will lease until the date of completion of their new office at Svågertorp. Wihlborgs estimate the yield to be 10 per cent.
