Svenska Kommunalarbetareförbundet (the Swedish Municipal Workers Association) has signed a five-year lease agreement that covers 1,300 sq.m. at Dockan in Malmö. The premises are located on Dockplatsen 12.
“We are pleased that Kommunal have chosen Wihlborgs when they now are establishing an office in Malmö,”says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB. Kommunal needed to be located near the railway station and Dockan is in reach with a ten-minute walk, continues Anders Jarl. Dockan is Malmö's most attractive area and we have a strong demand for premises here. Wihlborgs owns 137,000 sq.m. of property management and 70,000 sq.m. remains to be developed at Dockan.
Wihlborgs is also selling the property Generalens Hage 49 in the old town “Gamla Väster” in Malmö for SEK 16,8 million and the buyer is MKB Fastighets AB. The sale is a company transaction and will be included in the result for the 3rd quarter 2009.
The selling price agrees with the external market value.
“We will continue to sell smaller real estates that do not quite fit into Wihlborgs’ property portfolio,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB.
Generalens Hage 49 comprises 7 apartments and a private preschool. The property is situated in direct connection to the Generalens Hage 53, which was sold to Riksbyggen 2008.
“Wihlborgs concentrates on commercial real estates and we are pleased that MKB, the largest operator in Malmö on residential properties, takes over the real estate”, concludes Anders Jarl.
