Wihlborgs has entered into a seven-year tenancy agreement for an area of 4 250 sq m with the Board of Education at Kalifornien 10 (formerly known as Skattehuset) on Järnvägsgatan in Helsingborg.
”Now that the National Tax Board is moving out, we are taking the opportunity to develop this property into a modern office block,” says Jan-Erik Johansson, administration manager in central Helsingborg.
Wihlborgs is investing some SEK 40 million in upgrading the building. Besides glazing the façade facing out onto Järnvägsgatan, the building will also be adapted to suit current environmental demands with completely new installations that will ensure lower energy consumption. The premises will be ready to move into in November 2009.
“As the former Skattehuset is part of the Helsingborg preservation programme, we will have to wait and see how major the external changes are that can be approved,” continues Jan-Erik Johansson.
