Wihlborgs invests in Helsingborg

Wihlborgs has acquired Värjan 9 and Hillebarden 1 at Berga in Helsingborg.

The acquisition includes four properties in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Tingsryd and Älmhult, all of whom have Däckia as a tenant. Since these locations are not part of Wihlborgs market sectors, the properties will be disposed of at a later date.

The property acquisitions amount to 20,000 m2 and the purchase price totals SEK 86 million. The direct yield from the properties in Helsingborg is estimated at 8 per cent. Possession of the properties will be immediate.

Wihlborgs is renovating Polisen 3 (formerly the police station) in central Helsingborg. The facades will be replaced completely during the rebuilding. Only the concrete building framework will be retained. The investment will create a modern office building of ca 8,000 m2 with 40 garage places and is expected to amount to SEK 100 million.

“Wihlborgs is the market leader in Helsingborg and, with the acquisition at Berga, we will further strengthen our position,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter. “The renovation of the former police station means that we will have an attractive office property in central Helsingborg. Discussions are already in progress with a number of potential major tenants.”
