Wihlborgs rents out property in Helsingborg

The Swedish National Tax Board has signed a lease agreement that covers 3,400 m2 in Wihlborgs’ property Polisen 3 (formerly the police building) on Carl Krooksgatan in Helsingborg. The agreement will run for six years with an annual lease cost of SEK 5.7 million. The Board will move in at the start of 2009.

The property is fully occupied now that the Swedish National Tax Board has taken the lease. Wihlborgs has already signed lease agreements with IKEA for 3,700 m2 and Cultura for 825 m2.

The property underwent extensive renovation in 2007/2008. Only the load-bearing concrete structures have been retained and a new building has been built complete with a new façade.

“Our objective has been to convert the former police building into an attractive office property where both the interior and exterior give Söder a facelift. We are pleased since we have also rented out the building in good time before the property is completed,” says Jan-Erik Johansson, administrative manager of Wihlborgs Fastigheter. The Swedish National Tax Board is a strong and stable tenant and already leases older premises in one of our properties. It is therefore pleasing that they have chosen to remain as a tenant of ours by moving into modern premises that make the most of the space available. At the same time we have the opportunity to renovate and modernise the other property which can then be leased to other interested parties.
