Wihlborgs sells in Lund

Wihlborgs have sold the Gråbröder 34 property in central Lund. The property is better known by the name Bytaregränd. The property comprises 2,800 m2 of shops and offices. The deal also includes part of Postterminalen 1 with planning permission to build 3,000 m2 of housing. The purchaser is the well-known Lund businessman Arne Paulsson and the purchase price amounts to a total of SEK 82 million. Possession will take place as soon as detailed planning has become legally binding. This is expected to be granted in June 2009.

“Postterminalen 1 is located in the Sockerbruk area and this is where Wihlborgs have been working for a long time to produce a detailed plan,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter. “As the detailed planning is accepted and housing can be built, we will dispose of part of the plot which, together with a neighbouring plot, will form a new block,” continued Anders Jarl.

“The sale is in line with our business concept of not managing housing or shopping centres. The price level also feels very good and shows that good objects can be sold providing the right purchaser can be found. The deal is done with a yield that is less than 6 per cent. In total, the purchase price exceeds the book value at the year end by SEK 4 million,” concluded Anders Jarl.
